Robert E. Purvey (Pur-vee), also known to his colleagues and friends as just “Purvey” was born and raised in Houston, TX. His peculiar public speaking style, uncanny ability to communicate and motivated leaders from every ethnicity and socio economic background has caused him to be a nationally sought after speaker for churches, conferences, school districts, and companies.

For the last 20years  Purvey served as a Youth/Young Adult Pastor, Character Coach, and Community Liaisons. Purvey currently serves as the Executive Pastor of Next Gen at the Concord Church in Dallas, TX under the leadership of Pastor Bryan Carter. Before becoming an Executive Pastor, Purvey served 13 yrs at The Antioch Fellowship Church in Dallas, TX under the leadership and tutelage of the late Dr. Karry D. Wesley.

Purvey is known for building one of the most influential and unique student ministries in the country and creating the cutting edge CRAVE Student Conference.  In addition to being a Pastor and leader, Purvey as hosted the weekly radio show “Real Talk” for the last decade, promoting healthy connections with people and their purpose. He founder of “Making the Connection”, which is an organization intentionally structured to help leaders learn how to be more efficient and effective in ministry and their professions. Purvey is highly decorated and has received numerous awards from serving in several capacities in the community. One of His most prestigious awards was being named Outstanding alumnus award for vocational ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Purvey holds Bachelors degrees in Bible and Professional Development.

Purvey’s ability to challenge, motivate, and show others how to maximize their full potential has changed lives across the nation. His greatest joy is being the Father of paternal twins Laila and Jaiden. His favorite quote is “We are what we repeatedly do, Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit”.
