Internship

The Uplift Network is committed to serving the media and entertainment workforce of tomorrow, today. We believe in bridging the gap between university learning and workplace experience in our highly competitive Internship Program that spans various departments within The Uplift Network. We recruit applicants, primarily college juniors and seniors of the highest caliber for this program, and prepare them for entry-level jobs within the broadcast industry. Interns will have the opportunity to develop practical skills that improve their chances for success within the broadcast industry.

Expectations

Once the selected students have complete our internship program they will have elevated knowledge in the following areas:

Admin: 

  • Commercial Trafficking 
  • Sales
  • Data Entry 
  • One on One Communication with future clients

Marketing: 

  • Traditional and Digital Campaign Management
  • Basic Graphics Design 
  • Social Media Content Curator 
  • Promotions and Street Team Management

Operations: 

  • Programming Operations  
  • Radio Personality 
  • Pre and Post Production
  • Automation and Board Operations

Final Project: 

  • Each student will be responsible for creating a complete New Client Setup that will include
  • Traditional or Digital Marketing Campaign Plan
  • Promotions Package 
  • Production Orders
  • A fully produced program with host and guest

The Uplift Criteria:

  • 3.0 GPA
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Communications or Media focused major.

Required Qualifications:

  • The student must have a 3.0 GPA
  • must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • must be attending an accredited institution. Graduate students are eligible
  • must be in good academic standing as defined by his or her academic institutions
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Dress appropriately for a professional work environment
  • must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
  • must receive academic credit for the internship experience. He or she must be registered for college credit at his or her institution during the quarter or semester in which the internship is performed
  • In addition to meeting the institution’s eligibility requirements, the applicants must meet The Uplift’s eligibility requirements
  • Interns are not paid
  • To be considered, the applicant must complete the Internship Application Packet.
